As an Associate, Research & Analysis, you are responsible for identifying and effectively managing risks inherent in the asset class/project in the client’s business model and industry. About You

Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting

Excellent English writing and speaking, analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge in banking products and structures, loans, trade finance and global markets
Chinese writing and reading skills is a requirement as the role will be working with Chinese clients

As the Associate Director for Loan Syndications/Corporate Finance, you will join the Corporate Finance team in China, focused on the origination, distribution, and execution of syndicated loan and other corporate finance transactions for Chinese Corporates. In this role, you will support deal team leaders in the end-to-end deal process from pitching, approvals, distribution, and execution. You will also work closely with stakeholders from Coverage teams, other Corporate Finance teams, Global Markets teams, and Risk teams in providing financing solutions for ANZ’s clients.
Your key accountabilities will include:
Developing a keen understanding of capital markets trends and analyses
Working with clients through the deal process
Building a strong network in the loan markets
Assisting in the achievement of revenue targets and supporting the development & growth of Loan Syndications/Corporate Finance
Developing pitch books & relevant marketing material and the proactive management of league tables
Developing and maintaining a superior level of execution in Syndicated Loan/Corporate Finance transactions
Supporting transaction areas including execution, road shows, documentation, and distribution
Coordinating research in pricing and financing terms
Participating in the development of distribution strategies
Developing & enhancing business process management methods and tools to support and execute transactions
Compliance with internal policies, external laws, regulations, codes, and policies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following –
Proven track record in credit & financial analysis
Experience in direct client negotiation on term sheets, offering books, and loan documentation
Experience in the end-to-end execution of loan transactions
Strong product knowledge in the debt capital markets space (specifically loan syndications and bonds)
Demonstrated ability to analyse pricing & structuring trends and translate these into pricing trends and into pitching concepts
Demonstrated ability to interpret financial statements and structure appropriate debt solutions
Understanding of credit risk principles and bank systems & processes
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Proficiency in (written and spoken) Mandarin
